The network is the platform

The network is the platform on which collaboration depends. Collaboration will be conducted over multiple communication building blocks such as Instant Messaging, Voice, Conferencing and Video. As the building blocks for collaboration grows, the ability to “trust” the network becomes critical.

Intelligence on how to “offload” some of the common services to the network will also be essential, as we go about moving between desks within an office or even between offices, the user experience cannot be compromised.

Virtualisation

Virtualisation is a pervasive technology in IT today, but many are not aware that virtualisation extends beyond mere server virtualisation. Some emerging trends in virtualisation today are desktop and application virtualisation.

In this desktop virtualisation demo, we will showcase how your desktop can follow you wherever you go. The concept of being able to access any application, any data, on any device, in any location has become a reality. Being away from your desk no longer means being away from your desktop. Allow us to show you how you can get the desktop experience even on a tablet PC, using the network as a delivery platform.

In the second part of our presentation, we will show you how easy it can be to deploy applications over the Cloud. CA 3Tera AppLogic lets you get to cloud. Fast. Reduce the time and complexity of deploying and managing your business services. Quickly compose, deploy, manage, replicate and migrate complex applications and infrastructure as a single entity. Can deploying a cloud application be as simple as drawing a diagram? Let us show you how.

Managed Services Operations - Pay as you go

Facing a slow economic recovery, IT leaders will continue to scour their existing outsourcing arrangements for savings.  There's just one hitch. Many companies are discovering that either “big bang” or “local headcount” model of outsourcing simply isn't working for them.  Concerns over the lack of business alignments to meet the shareholder’s values such as; capitalise the opportunity to grow revenue, profit predictability, make services affordable and accessible to end customers, are causing some companies to re-evaluate their outsourcing strategies and look for better alternatives.

No single vendor supplies all of the hardware and software in today's data centers, and no single service provider can deliver a completely optimised IT environment. Learn how you can leverage an ecosystem — with multiple external and internal services sources — working closely together to meet the requirements with a combination of technical and economic advantages.

Learning as a Service

Traditional classroom training used to be the only method of providing highly specialised training to customers.  With the fast pace of change in technology, this is no longer sufficient.  E-Learning is the best way of complimenting traditional classroom training to ensure every person is able to keep up with the pace of change of technology in this internet age.
