Session 1Why Performance Optimisation?
Data center consolidation and server centralisation are two top IT initiatives that can save organisations significantly on hardware, software, and operating costs. But they can also make it more difficult to maintain application availability, performance, and security.
So how can you implement a branch-office in-a-box solution both securely and effectively? And how do you ensure successful delivery of local services? |

Session 2
Riverbed - Understanding Performance Issues in the Cloud
Many enterprises are realising that they already have private clouds, or a short step away from reorganising their assets into a private cloud format. Private clouds offer the benefits of the public cloud-- centralised storage, virtualisation, minimal management administration and reliability-- while enabling enterprises to retain full application performance visibility and control. Learn why private clouds are a good interim step for migrating to public cloud computing or creating hybrid private/public cloud networks. What are the similarities and differences in the performance characteristics of private vs. public clouds, and how can issues such as data transfer bottlenecks (latency) and application performance unpredictability, (which have not been widely covered), impact cloud computing models? Understand why cloud applications have different needs than cloud storage what new technologies will solve that problem. The speaker will also address the implications of network distances between where the processing happens, where the data is stored, and where users are located-- aiding attendees in making the right architectural decisions. |

Session 3
Netscout - Managing the Critical Business Services delivery assurance and performance with in-depth visibility
With the intense business competition, the complex networked infrastructure and the adoption of virtualisation and voice/video convergence, organisations are stretched to improve business services performance with better operational efficiency. Months and even days of troubleshooting for intermittent performance degradation are no longer tolerated.
How is the performance of your Trading, eBanking, Financial and your corporate applications? Where is the bottleneck in your performance degradation? Is it within the firewall, servers, databases, web tiers or WAN optimisation? How are your remote branches performing?
The comprehensive and high definition visibility of the complex network and applications performance from the data center to the end users, from physical and virtual server farms, 10G to 2Mbps WAN, over the MPLS crowd to the 100Mbps client, is crucial to proactively manage the network and applications performance and troubleshooting.
Netscout will share with you our latest nGenius Services Assurance and case studies for managing the critical business services performance. |
